Intermediate Figure Drawing

Well, I tried a few times to make time to update this during the semester, but failed miserably. Too much work to do this semester, what with having to draw and write. Well, here's my best from this past fall semester.

Fall '10

Well, the new school semester is here. I just started Intermediate Figure Drawing, which is the only drawing class I'm taking this semester. This class has a pretty heavy workload, which means I'll have a lot to post. I've been thinking about trying to post as I go, so we'll see how that works out.

Marc Davis Copy

This is a drawing I did copying one of Marc Davis' original pieces of artwork. Marc Davis did the concept artwork for Disney's "Pirate's of the Caribbean" ride at Disneyland, among other things.

Chosen Teaser Poster #1

This is going to be featured in a preview comic I'm doing by myself, but I just wanted to put it up here because I thought it was pretty awesome when I was done.

Hey errbody. Real quick, just wanted to point out some of the new features on the 'spot. To your immediate right you will notice 2 (that's right, make it 2 Utah...) links to other webpages. Jacob Jessup and Brodie Roman. Two cats I went to high school with, who are both talented as hell. Jacob has been involved in the production of video games in the past, and his website is going to feature reviews of games and stuff like that. Check it regularly, as he plans on doing a lot more. Brodie is an aspiring writer who is currently working on his first fantasy novel. I've known this guy longer than anyone else, and believe me when I say he knows what he's doing. Please check them out and support a couple good kids trying to do something creative.

Introduction to Anatomy

This is the first anatomy class I've taken at the Academy, and sure to not be the last. Tough course to take, especially with my crazy life. Tough class to take, but well worth it.

Personal Projects

Exactly what the name suggests. Two of the picutures here are of the characters in the comic book pages you see in the "Perspective" section. These are two of the main characters in a story I'm writing and drawing.

Perspective

This class was an awesome class to take. I had a lot of fun, because this was the first class where the instructor really let us be creative as far as what the content of our compositions was going to be. This also marks the first time I ever drew a comic book cover and pages.
